THU THIEM NEW URBAN AREA DESIGN COMPETITION

PAB, in collaboration with CHORDstudio, participated in an international design competition for the Central Plaza, Crescent Park, and Saigon River Pedestrian Bridge in Thu Thiem, a 770-hectare new urban area in District 2. The 13-hectare Central Plaza is designed to host major events for over a million people, while the 12-hectare Crescent Park will feature landscaped gardens, promenades, kiosks, and a water taxi station. An iconic constructivist-style bridge will seamlessly connect the new city to the historic commercial district across the Saigon River.
