PAB was involved as Architect and Town Planner for the delivery of two major depots for the KVMRT projects. The depot projects are key facilities for the maintenance and operations of the two MRT lines. These facilities include administrative offices, the depot, workshops, stabling yard, wash plant and stores.

In general, the Serdang Depot will be equipped with the operation and maintenance facilities for electric trains, locomotives and work trains, administration and management of SSP Line, track maintenance facilities, etc. It will share important functions such as the Operation Control Centre (OCC) with the Sg. Buloh Depot.

However, all the heavy maintenance works will be taken care by the Sg. Buloh Depot. The depot is designed to allow ease and speed of construction Appropriate materials that are high in durability and low in maintenance are used to suit the operation of the depots.
