GREENLAND TEBRAU

Greenland Tebrau, a collaboration between PAB and Woods Bagot, is a live/work/play district in Johor, offering resort-style living in a scenic natural setting.

Greenland Tebrau is a collaboration between PAB and Woods Bagot to establish a live/work/play district with a resort-like living environment in Johor, Malaysia. It will be a place where residents can enjoy a truly high standard of living, with close access to the natural environment within a scenic setting.

The urban design concept is to create a series of anchors along an active waterfront, all linked back to the main street. Organized along a major pedestrian path, the anchors will draw visitors along the water, offering cultural experiences, entertainment venues, dining establishments, and ample opportunities for shopping. Connection with the water will be a continuous theme along this walkway, at times forming a scenic backdrop, and at other times within arm’s reach.

The Masterplan intends to create a residential district with convenient access to the entertainment and retail zones, but with its own distinctive neighborhood atmosphere. The central water landscape acts the neighborhood’s backbone, serving as a major pedestrian, vehicle, and public transit corridor, as well as serving an important ecological function. In addition, the neighborhood is surrounded by waterfront, lending a relaxed atmosphere for local residents to enjoy.
